FIBER CEMENT SIDING | JAMES HARDIE®

Fiber cement siding is a durable, long-lasting and low-maintenance material that’s used on residential houses and some commercial projects. It’s a semi-rigid material that provides substantial protection, while still maintaining some flexibility.

WHAT IS FIBER CEMENT SIDING MADE OF?

STYROK

Styrok  a collection of prefinished, lightweight concrete panels, mouldings and accents that combine the best aspects of existing exterior cladding materials into one improved product.

What is Styrok made of?

All Styrok products consist of a factory applied engineered limestone lamina made of lime and glass fibre reinforced concrete (“GFRC”) backed by a high-density expanded polystyrene (“EPS”) foam board.

Styrok Advantage

Combine the upscale aesthetics and durability of smooth-cut limestone and precast with the cost-effective, lightweight, insulating properties of stucco.

Styrok Prefabricated Wall Panels

An alternative to Indiana limestone, ACM panels and precast panels. Unlike traditional exterior stone cladding (which weighs about 40-50 lbs per square foot), our heaviest panels weigh only about 3 lbs per sq foot, so no mechanical fastening or structural support is required. This makes for a quicker and more cost-effective installation process.

Another key advantage of our prefab concrete panels is that they’re low-maintenance. They’re made of glass fibre reinforced concrete and sealed with a nano-penetrating sealer, so they’re non-porous and highly moisture-resistant. This means they won’t absorb dirt, dust or water the way that natural stone or precast does

VINYL SIDING

1.   Beautiful by design

Vinyl siding has evolved from a practical choice to one of unmatched beauty. Homeowners can now choose from a wide range of beautiful colors, a variety of styles and realistic textures. Customizing your ideal exterior by mixing and matching is easier than ever.

2.   Durability for life

Vinyl siding is as tough as it is beautiful. Fade-resistant finishes, scratch-resistant colors and a locking technology to keep panels tightly affixed make vinyl siding a smart choice in nearly any climate or condition. An equally durable warranty is usually offered to back a homeowner’s investment.

3.   High quality, high value

Vinyl siding is cost-effective to install, is designed to last, and makes a beautiful statement with a minimum of upkeep. Compared to wood siding, vinyl siding is virtually maintenance free, and that means more money in your pocket – no paint to buy, panels to replace, insects to fight, or pros to hire to do the work.

4.   Maintenance-free

Love the look of wood siding? To keep it looking fresh, painting, scraping, replacing wood rot, and fighting insects is required. That takes time — and money. Even if you choose brick, stucco, fiber cement or another exterior product, you’ll pay to maintain it – or pay someone to do it for you. Vinyl siding is a smart alternative. Install it and forget it. The only maintenance need is to hose it off now and then if it becomes dirty. That’s as simple as it gets.

5.   Energy efficient

Depending on its R-value, vinyl siding may reduce your heating and cooling costs when properly installed. Pair your vinyl siding with new energy-efficient doors, windows, trim and ventilation, and you could reduce your bills even more. Your budget, and your HVAC, will thank you.

STUCCO

Want to improve your walls and protect them from weather elements? Stucco will do that. Stucco has been used to decorate homes for a long time. In fact, some early forms of stucco date back to ancient Greek and Egyptian times. In those days stucco was made from a combination of limestone, water, and sand, but today we use a modern mixture involving cement. Stucco is popular with homeowners today for many reasons including:

  • Durability: Stucco siding is tough, long-lasting and can outlast the elements. It’s a great way to protect your home from snow, rain, and other damaging forms of weather.
  • Low-Maintenance: Once it’s been installed, stucco requires little to no upkeep. There’s no need to constantly re-apply or re-finish. You’ll save time and money.
  • Fire Resistant: Of course, this is a common concern of any homeowner. You can rest assured knowing that stucco is one of the safest types of finish for your home. It’s also beneficial in terms of insurance. Many insurance companies provide lower premiums to homes with stucco siding.
  • Attractiveness: A stucco wall is classic and will never go out of style. That’s why stucco has been around for hundreds of years.
